Hardeep Singh Kohli Launches Full Programme for Funny in Falkirk 2015!

Comedian, broadcaster and chef Hardeep Singh Kohli today unveiled the full programme for Central Scotland's Comedy Festival in Falkirk Town Centre. 

 
Funny in Falkirk returns for its sixth year from 15th - 25th October, with over 2000 tickets available for shows in 11 venues in Falkirk, Denny, Bo'ness, Stenhousemuir and Grangemouth.

Big Name Comedy

 

 

World renowned Irish stand up and star of Father Ted Ardal O'Hanlon (Thursday 22nd October, 8pm) joins star of The John Bishop Show, hard hitting Canadian Tom Stade (Sunday 18th October, 8pm) at Falkirk Town Hall. 
 
Grangemouth Town Hall plays host to Michelle McManus's brand new 5 star comedy show on Friday 23rd October, and the Dobbie Hall will welcome the king of alternative comedy Tony Law who introduces a line up of his friends on Saturday 17 October which promises to be a show not to be missed. 
 
Hardeep Singh Kohli (Sunday 25 October) joins the legendary influential comedy maverick Phil Kay (Saturday 24th October) who head up a packed programme at Behind The Wall which also includes critically acclaimed author, playwright and Falkirk boy Alan Bissett performing The Moira Monologues (Friday 16th October, 7pm), the Godmother of Scottish Comedy Janey Godley (Sunday 18th October, 8pm) and the award winning Bruce Fummey (Thursday 15th October, 8pm).
 

 

Top Scottish Talent

 

 

The programme also boasts some of the most in demand Scottish comics on the circuit.
 
Comedians performing solo shows at the festival include the critically acclaimed Davey Connor (Sunday 18th October), rising star Susie McCabe (Friday 23rd October) and undoubtedly one of the hottest properties in Scottish comedy at the moment, barnstorming Glaswegian Gary Little ('born raconteur' Scotsman).
 

Over at the Corbie Inn and the Songbird, comedy fans can snap up a bargain as they host line ups of 4 comedians each Friday and Saturday for less than a tenner. Line ups include STV's Bruce Devlin ('a tongue so sharp it could peel a King Edward' Scotsman), Jamie Dalgleish ('full of energy and instantly likeable' Edinburgh Festival Journal), Scott Agnew ('electrifying' Guardian) and Elaine Malcolmson ('full of comedy life' Skinny).

 

 

Now For Something Different

 

 

Comedy fans looking for something a little bit different have got plenty to choose from, as some of the best comedy mind readers, hypnotists and cabaret performers come to Funny In Falkirk.
 
Fresh from The John Bishop Show Marcel Lucont brings his cult hit Cabaret Fantastique to Behind The Wall on Thursday 22nd October.
 
A live comedy reimagining of the first series of Game of Thrones which has recently sold out a run of shows in Glasgow, will be performed at Falkirk Stadium on Saturday 17th October.
 
Also at Falkirk Stadium on Saturday 24th October Colin Cloud performs his awe inspiring forensic mind reading show. And on Friday 16th October Doug Segal brings his exciting comedy brand of psychological comedy to Behind The Wall.
 
At the Orchard Hotel on Saturday 17th October comedy fans can be in with a chance of winning the £50 cash jackpot in The Big Fat £50 Comedy Quiz.  Entry is free and quizmaster Jay will tickle your funny bone as you compete for the big cash prize!
 

 

Fun For All The Family

 

 

There's free fun for all the family at the Howgate Centre on Saturday 17th October from 12noon - 3pm, as Miss Polly Hoops brings her Hula Hoop Workshop for kids to the Howgate Shopping Centre. Polly is in demand all over the world for her brilliant and entertaining workshops and has many TV and festival credits to her name. 
 
Cineworld will also be screening their Movies for Juniors every Saturday and Sunday starting between 10am and 10.30am, promising big screen entertainment for all the family!
