Award winning actor, comedian and writer: Ardal O'Hanlon is delighted to bring his latest stand-up show to Funny In Falkirk.
Lurking beneath Ardal's mild-mannered demeanour resides a sharp and probing (and fairly mild-mannered) comic brain. Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes silly, but always punchy, he has tickled audiences all over the world (including extensive live work across the US, Canada, Australia, Far East and Europe).
Although best known for his starring roles in Father Ted and My Hero, Ardal’s other TV credits include Sky comedy-drama After Hours, Cucumber, London Irish, Skins, Doctor Who and Live At The Apollo, and was nominated for an Olivier Award for his role in the 2014 West End production of The Weir. Ardal has even found the time to write a book, his best-selling novel Talk Of The Town features in the book list ‘1001 books to read before you die’.
'Charm, intelligence and fabulous phrase-making' Guardian
'He flutters through a variety of topics with a poet’s eye for inconsequential detail' Telegraph
'Particularly inspired…you could listen to O’Hanlon’s infectious self-effacement for hours… highly entertaining and frequently brilliant' Irish Independent
